President thanked journalists for their loyalty to profession

The main task of mass media is the honest, truthful and impartial coverage of events taking place in society.  The government’s responsibility is the support for the press, creating all the conditions necessary for the proper work of the journalists. This is a difficult process that requires effective mechanisms to implement the right of everyone to have access to public information, the congratulatory message of President of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych to journalists on their professional holiday says.

“Time has proven that it is impossible to give a decent response to the challenges without an active and responsible participation of journalists in shaping public opinion, their eager civic-mindedness, without the constant development of the relations between the press and the authorities," as the message goes. The President thanked all mass media workers for their adherence to principles, activity and loyalty to profession.
