Ukraine is to avail its depositories for storing the Turkish gas, the Ambassador of Ukraine in the Turkish Republic Serhiy Korsunsky told the journalists in Istanbul.
Commenting on the project of the Transanatolian Azerbaijan-Turkish pipe line construction, he noted the possibility of reversing the pipe, through which the gas now flows from Ukraine to Turkey.
“After the reversing, the gas may be transported to Ukraine not only for consumption, but for re-export to Europe maintenance of the Turkish gas balance as well,” Mr. Korsunsky said.
According to him, Ukraine has already provided its gas depositaries for Turkey. The Turkish gas depositories can contain 2-4 billion cubic meters, while the Ukrainian ones are designed for 32 billion cubic meters.
