The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine has no complaints against the husband of the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko Oleksandr Tymoshenko, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Viktor Pshonka said.

“He is not under investigation, he is not wanted and no accusations have been made against him. The Prosecutor’s Office does not monitor his activity and movements. He is free to come and go,” Pshonka stated.

As reported, on January 6 Oleksandr Tymoshenko pled for Czech asylum and his plea was satisfied. Tymoshenko’s party fellows claimed the authorities intended to use him as a pressure leverage against the former Prime Minister.

On May 24 his father Henadiy Tymoshenko died after grave illness. Oleksandr Tymoshenko did not come to the funerals. According to the deputy head of the Batkivshchyna Party Oleksandr Turchynov, Mr Tymoshenko could not pay last respects to his father fearing to be detained at the border.
