Ukraine and the NATO have agreed on the special regime introduction providing exchange of the data on air situation during the Euro 2012 Football Championship, as ForUm learned from the Mission of Ukraine to NATO.

"Considering the real need for effective air space control during the Euro 2012 in Ukraine and Poland, Ukraine will exchange information about air situation with the NATO Strategic Command Operations headquarters (Mons, Belgium) starting from June 5.  The watch will be  set up within the areas of responsibility of 200 nautical miles as well as over the air facilities on the Ukrainian borders with Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania," the statement reports.

The Mission of Ukraine to NATO spokesman explained that the mutual exchange of aeronautical information is to promote the air space security, to minimize the possible incidents during international flights and to be an effective tool in combating the air terrorism.
