The first Ukraine's public poll among children establishes that 58% respondents do not know what healthy food is. Such results were announced by the Yaremenko Ukrainian Institute for Social Investigations board chairwoman Olha Balashkireva during the presentation of the project "Children's Rights in Ukraine: realities and challenges after 20 years of independence", ForUm correspondent reports.

"The level of awareness among children aged 16-17 years is higher, but even the understanding what food is" healthy "does not lead to a daily adherence to such a diet - only 47% consider their diet to be healthy,"  Balashkireva said.

According to her, the question about healthy eating proved to be difficult for 10-13-year-olds, especially comparing with their daily diet, so only a quarter believes that it is "healthy". The majority of respondents, 74% failed to answer this question.
