The International Monetary Fund doubts Ukraine's government is able to keep budget deficit at the level of 1.8% of GDP in 2012 and recommends introducing the wealth tax.
Head of the IMF mission to Ukraine Christopher Jarvis told a briefing that the Fund recommended the Cabinet to consider reduction of tax concession or to limit budget expenses.
"Amendments to the budget provide for increased expenses for salaries and pensions. To reach the goal the government plans to increase budget revenues. But to keep the planned budget deficit the government will need other measures," the official said.
