D terminal of Boryspil International Airport will start serving regular flights after the completion of Euro-2012 in Ukraine, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov said in course of opening ceremony of a new terminal at Boryspil International Airport, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to the minister, the terminal will serve only charter flights during Euro-2012 as the airline companies needs time to move their services to another terminal.

The minister also added that the airport will progress to its maximum rated capacity, i.e. 15 millions passengers a year, in five years. He noted that today annual passenger flow of Boryspil Airport is 8 millions. “Today D terminal can serve 10 millions. To come to rated capacity of 15 millions, a set of technical challenges should be resolved,” he mentioned.

In his turn, Director of Boryspil Airport Anton Volov informed that A and B terminals will continue serving flights till D terminal is up at full capacity.
