Opposition, majority left session hall

Opposition, majority left session hall
Representatives of the opposition parties have left the parliamentary session hall, having previously removed the banner calling to abandon the language issue. The parliament is empty, as the majority has also left the hall.

Earlier today ByuT faction leader Andriy kozhemiaking told a briefing that his faction would block the parliamentary rostrum and presidium till the end of the working day, and if necessary would block the parliament at the next plenary session.

Kozhemiakin said that the opposition was ready to agree on the introduction of the moratorium on consideration of the language issue till the end of political consultations. But, according to him, the Party of Regions did not give any guarantees that the question would be postponed.

"Anyway, if the language issue is submitted again the opposition will do everything to prevent its consideration," he said.

The next plenary session of the parliament starts on June 5.
