Ukraine's parliament has passed the law banning smoking in public places with 368 votes in favour. The law has been passed in its second reading and adopted as a whole, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to the law, it is prohibited to smoke tobacco products, electronic cigarettes and water-pipes in elevators and phone-booths, in indoor and outdoor premises of health institutions including premises and territories of sport facilities, educational institutions and children's playgrounds.

The document bans smoking in hallways of residential houses, underground passages, public transport, food serving facilities and cultural property.

From now on smoking is prohibited on permanent stops for public transport.

According to the law, smoking is prohibited, except for specially equipped places, in premises of enterprises, institutions and organizations of all forms of ownership, hotels, dormitories, airports and railway stations.
