President Viktor Yanukovych expects the Parliament to complete the elaboration of a number of bills and pass them, he said at a meeting with the Verkhovna Rada Speaker and parliamentary group leaders, presidential press office reports.
According to the President, it is very important to make changes to the Customs Code of Ukraine. “When we adopted the Customs Code we knew there would remain certain unregulated issues. They are there and it is very important that they were regulated before EURO 2012,” he said.
The President also pointed to the importance of passing the bills on reforming the emergency health assistance system, business deregulation, ‘single window’ business registration system development, etc.
Yanukovych paid special attention to the draft wealth tax bill, saying the Government and the Verkhovna Rada should speed up the work on it. “I would to ask you to speed up the adoption of this bill,” President Yanukovych said.
