21.9% of the Ukrainians would vote for Viktor Yanukovych if the presidential elections were held in early May. 16% would support the leader of Batkivshchyna, Yulia Tymoshenko. The research has been conducted by the sociological group Rating.

9.6% of respondents would vote for Arseniy Yatseniuk, 8.8% for Vitali Klitschko, 6.9% for Petro Symonenko, 4.1% for Natalia Korolevska, 3.6% for Oleh Tiahnybok, 2.7% for Anatoliy Hrytsenko, 2.5% for Serhiy Tihipko and 0.8% for Volodymyr Lytvyn. 2.7% would support other candidates, 3.7% would not support anyone, and 16.8% were undecided.

Yanukovych's rating has hardly changed over the past few months, yet compared to last December it has slightly increased (from 18.9% to 21.9%). Against the background of the falling rating of the leader of Batkivshchyna (from 19.8% to 16% in the past two months), the gap between Tymoshenko and Yanukovych has increased in favor of the latter, UKRINFORM reports.

At the same time, the support for Natalia Korolevska in March and April increased (from 1.4% to 4.1%), putting her ahead of Tihipko, Tiahnybok and Hrytsenko on the ranking list. The slight drop in Yatseniuk's rating was accompanied by a similar increase in Klitschko's.

Tiahnybok demonstrates stable positions; his rating is traditionally slightly lower than the rating of the party Svoboda that he heads. Symonenko also has a stable rating, which yields to the rating of the Communist Party.
