For the period of EURO 2012, smoking and using tobacco products, as well as their sale in sports facilities, which will host the championship events, is prohibited in Ukraine.
The Verkhovna Rada adopted changes to the Law of Ukraine "On organization and conduct of the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship in Ukraine" (with respect to ensuring the health of athletes and fans and creating a healthy atmosphere and watching the matches of EURO 2012) on Tuesday, May 22, UKRINFORM reports.
Furthermore, the prohibition also applies to advertising of any tobacco products, as well as trademarks for goods and services of other objects of intellectual property, under which tobacco products are manufactured.
The prohibition shall apply to all, without exception, the premises, open zones throughout the territory of the sports facility.
