Opening ceremony of the first in Ukraine diplomatic club, housed in the former villa of the Gagarins dukes has been held in Odessa, ForUm learned from the press office of Odessa city state administration.
"It is the first diplomatic club in Ukraine. And I can say that I've never seen anything similar in the majority of countries I've ever visited. It is symbolic that the opening has been held in Odessa, the city of many nationalities with rich culture and history," foreign minister of Ukraine Konstantyn Hryshchenko said.
From now on representatives of diplomatic missions, living in Odessa, have a place for close communication, for holding meetings and discussing various political and diplomatic issues.
"I am sure this diplomatic club will become a proper place for holding international events," Hryshchenko added.
