
“No rise of prices will be in the nearest future. And this is confirmed by the fact that , for instance, during the Easter holidays, when, as a result, every year we had a substantial rise of prices for certain types of foodstuffs, no rise occurred. There were only short-time jumps in price, but they had no impact on the cost of the consumer basket,” Petrenko noted.
According to him, both the number of those foodstuffs, which were produced in the current marketing year, and its storage speaks about the fact that the government has possibility to provide both Ukrainians and Ukraine's guests with the necessary number of domestic qualitative products at affordable prices during UEFA EURO 2012.
“The government and directly the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry fully control the situation on the food and agricultural products market,” the Ministry representative summed up.
