NATO not to involve Ukraine into European ABM defense system

At this stage Ukraine's participation in the development of the European antiballistic missile defense system is not envisaged, head of the Ukraine's mission in NATO Ihor Dolgov informed.

"European ABM defense system is a separate project, and it dos not include Ukraine's participation," the official told journalists on Sunday in Chicago. He reminded that NATO considered involving Russia into the project.

"As we know, the agreement between NATO and Russia has not been reached yet. The negotiation process on the very ABM defense system and the participation of other countries in the project still continues," Dolgov said.
