Vice PM and minister for social policy of Ukraine Serhiy Tihipko has assured MPs that the payment of one thousand hryvnias of USSR deposits will be carried out without problems, ForUm correspondent reports.
Answering the questions at the Hour of questions to the government, Thipko informed that two million Ukrainians have already applied to receive the money, and one million of them have already passed the so-call verification.
Tihipko reminded that there are six million citizens, who are waiting for the compensation. The official states that by the end of 2012 Ukrainians will get this money.
The payments will start from June 1 in all six thousand branches of Oshchadbank, he informed.
"People will be able to get the compensation in cash or to put money on plastic card to enjoy discounts in pharmacies and food stores. The money can also be left in the bank as deposits with an interest rate," the vice PM explained.
Tihipko stated that the payment procedures go calm and gradually, without any lines, and added that the payments may continue in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
