National legislation must be brought in line with the new Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine by November 1, President Viktor Yanukovych said at a meeting with the administrative leadership and businessmen of Donetsk region, ForUm learned from the presidential press office.
"We must bring our entire legislation in line with the Criminal Procedure Code in a short time – by November 1. We need to make amendments to about 300 laws in accordance with the Code," he said.
"Very soon, we will have one of the best Criminal Procedure Codes in Europe – this is what European experts say. This will influence the life of the state. After that, we will work on the laws on the bar and prosecution," said Viktor Yanukovych.
