The constriction of the terminal for receiving liquefied gas is obstructed by political reasons, head of the state investment project Vladislav Kaskiv informed, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Promoting this national project we come across persistent resistance from disinterested parties, mostly from abroad. Nevertheless, we already have concrete agreements, in particular with Qatar, which is one of the principal world suppliers of liquefied gas," the official said.

According to Kaskiv, the cost of the terminal with capacity of 10 billion cu m of gas is 856 million euro, and its pay-off period is nine years. The construction is planned for 2013.
