Measles outbreaks last about one and a half year. Hence, for another year Ukrainians will keep falling sick, chief infection disease doctor of the Health Ministry of Ukraine Serhiy Kramarev said.
"Taking into account the experience of past years I can say that measles outbreaks last for one and a half year. The only way to speed up the termination of the outbreaks is vaccination. There is no other alternative," Kramarev said.
The doctor also informed that taking the combined vaccine against measles people protect themselves from other several infection diseases.
