Foreign Ministry of Ukraine welcomes the statement of Polish President regarding boycotting of Euro-2012 tournament, press office of the Ministry said in a statement.

"The true friend of out state Bronislaw Komorowski once again demonstrated his deep comprehension of all internal process of Ukraine and his sincere support of Ukraine's European aspirations. We share the calls of the Polish President about necessity to reform Ukrainian legislation and to put it in line with European standards. By Ukrainian President's and government's initiative, for the last month a new Criminal Procedure Code and the Law on public unions have been adopted. The government has also worked out changes to the Law on access to public information, which will extend people's control over the authorities. Further reforms are on the way," the statement says.

Foreign Ministry of Ukraine thanked Komorowski for criticizing the Euro-2012 boycott announcement. "Fans from all over the world are waiting for proper holding of the Euro-2012 final without artificial politicization. Nobody has a right to turn this dream into a victim of the current political circumstances," the document reads.
