Ukraine is considering the possibility to purchase liquefied gas from Qatar, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said visiting "Ras Gas" company on his official visit to Qatar, ForUm learned from the Cabinet's press office.
"Ukraine is working hard on diversification of gas supplies and considering the possibility to purchase gas from Qatar," the PM said.
The Premier underlined that Qatar produces the third part of the world gas volume, and cooperation with this country is very important for Ukraine. Azarov also stressed that the cost of Qatar gas including the delivery is three times less than the Russian one.
The PM informed that constructing LNG-terminal for receiving liquefied gas in Odesa region Ukraine will use Qatar's experience. "Qatar has interesting technological know-how, and we will sue them in the process of construction of our terminal," Azarov said.
