UEFA Euro-2012 tournament director in Ukraine Markian Lubkivski believes that the boycott of the football championship by European politicians will not put at risk the very holding of Euor-2012.
"UEFA has already expressed its point of view and have nothing to add. The only thing I want to say is that boycotting of big sport events does not help to resolve legal and political issues," Lubkivski told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
The official reminded that all political forces of Ukraine once gave the guarantee not to use the championship for political purposes. "I hope all political players will meet their promises," he said and added he does not have information that any national team will not take part in the championship.
