The first deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine Volodymyr Rokitski reported to the parliament about the events, which took place today in Dnipropetrovs'k, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to the official, four explosive devices were put in garbage bins along the route of tram #1. 25 people were injured, one person is in grave conditions.
Rokitski specified that the question of introduction of the state of emergency is not under consideration. At the same time the official refused to voice out the investigative versions of the events. "Give us time, we are working," Rokitski said.
He also noted that for the moment no demands or threats from identified or unidentified individuals had been received by law enforcement agencies.
The official neither confirmed nor denied information about detained suspects on the case.
In his turn, deputy interior minister Viktor Ratushniak declared that the police are establishing the motives of perpetrators.
