Foreign mass media criticizes overprices accommodations in Ukraine for Euro-2012 because they want tourists to stay in their countries and to fill their state budgets, acting head of Euro-2012 tourism department of Lviv city council Galyna Grynik told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

The official noted that the prestige of the host-city allows increasing prices for accommodation. Grynik also informed that 23% of Lviv hotels had increased prices by almost 200%, but at the same time 60% of hotels are already booked. She believes that tourists will come to Ukraine for Euro-2012 matches, and that the topic on overpriced hotel rooms is being dramatized.

Director of Kyiv tourist information center Vyacheslav Mironenko, present at the press conference, told journalists that the Kyiv authorities support the project, which offers three days of stay for 215-250 euro for two people. In addition, he informed that staying in a tent town on Trukhanov Island in Kyiv will cost about 20 euro per day.
