Minimal increase of pensions for those, who have necessary personable service (20 years for women and 25 for men) will make 100 hryvnias, vice PM and minister for social policy Serhiy Tihipko told a briefing, ForUm learned from the press office of the Ministry for social policy.

"50 hryvnais will be added to the pensions of those, who do not have necessary personable service," the official informed and added that military pensioners should expect considerable pensions rise - by 36% before the year end.

Tihipko noted that the pension rise should be considered not only as restoration of social justice, but also like an investment into national economy. "Almost all increased pensions will be spent by people, first of all, on foodstuff, being produced mainly in Ukraine. Increasing pensions we give a serious push to the development of national economy," the vice PM said.

According to the official, the pension rise has become possible thanks to economy growth for the last two years. "From now on all free resources will be directed to the improvement of social protection of Ukrainians," Tihipko stressed.
