Worsening of the demographic situation in Eastern Europe, related to a phenomenon of the population's ageing, in the future will entail deficit of the labor force in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova and other states of the region.

This opinion was expressed by Vice President of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia Philippe Le Houerou, UKRINFORM reports.

“Besides the growing necessity for optimization of expenses, Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus should pay a special attention to protection of the human potential in relation with the growing unemployment rate and worsening of the demographic situation in those states,” Philippe Le Houerou stressed.
