A 15-year-old citizen of Ukraine was badly beaten up in Czech Republic, Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to the information of Brno city consulate, on April 17 in Breclav city three Gypsies attacked a 15-year-old Ukrainian and badly beat him up.

Dykusarov informed that this accident inflamed the Czech society and caused negative attitude towards Gypsies.

The Ukrainian is currently in a hospital and his health condition is improving, Dykusarov said. A criminal case has been instituted over the crime, but the perpetrators have not been found yet.

The given crime has been defined as manifestation of aggression, as the teenager had a big sum of money and an expensive mobile phone on him, but the criminals did not take anything. Their motives remain unknown.

The case is being controlled by the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine.
