It is important to adopt the Strategy of National Security, the Military Doctrine, and consider the Concept of Reforming the Military of Ukraine, President Viktor Yanukovych said at today’s meeting of the Committee on Reforming the Armed Forces and Military Industrial Complex of Ukraine, Form learned from the presidential press office.
“They are the basis for developing a package of program documents to define the national security policy of Ukraine, the future of the Armed Forces and of other security sector bodies,” the President said.
At the same time the President stressed that the appropriate decision of the Committee would become a powerful signal that Ukraine’s European integration course and intentions to develop its security potential as independent and democratic state remain unchanged.
