49 Ukrainians were accepted in the Fulbright exchenge student program in 2011-2012 academic year, US ambassador to Ukraine John Tefft told a press conference on "Higher education in Ukraine", ForUm correspondent reports.
The ambassador reminded that the cooperation in educational and scientific spheres was established between Ukraine and US after the declaration of Ukraine's independence.
"49 citizens of Ukraine, among which there were 18 scientists, 9 teachers and 22 graduates, were carrying out scientific research in the US in the 2011-2012 academic year," the ambassador informed.
At the same time 41 Americans, participants of the program, visited Ukraine in 2011. According the organizers of the program, American scientists and students are always interested in scientific research activity in Ukraine.
