Ukraine is studying a possibility to lift the moratorium on sale of medicines through the net of internet-pharmacies on the territory of Ukraine, chairman of the State service on medicines Oleksiy Soloviev told a briefing in the Cabinet, ForUm learned from the governmental portal.

"We are considering the lift of the moratorium on internet-pharmacies, but to do so we must work out tough licensing regulations for such entities," Soloviev said.

The official has welcomed the experience of Denmark, where there are five official websites, which sale medicines, and where the activity of such websites and their storage facilities is controlled by the state.

Soloviev also informed that the moratorium on activity of internet-pharmacies was imposed to prevent potential harm to people's health, because the state was not able to control the activity of such pharmacies, which usually work without official address and do not publish information about medicine suppliers.
