A World War II-era bomb exploded on April 17 in Ukraine’s eastern region of Donetsk, killing one person.

Officials at Ukraine’s Emergencies Ministry told journalists on April 18 that the bomb exploded when a pile of garbage was being burnt in a private yard, RFE/RL reports.

Preliminary investigations showed that the bomb dated back to the time of World War II.
