Viktor Yanukovych informed that he had discussed this issue with Vladimir Putin in a telephone conversation yesterday. "We have discussed a number of problems in our interstate relations. We have agreed to meet soon, before [Vladimir Putin's] inauguration, and continue our dialogue," said Viktor Yanukovych.
The President added that Ukrainian-Russian relations are developing positively and rapidly, and the gas issue is probably the only one that remains to be solved. "We will intensify our negotiations to find a solution to this issue," said Viktor Yanukovych.
When asked if he plans to visit Russia to attend the inauguration ceremony of Vladimir Putin, Viktor Yanukovych replied: "If I receive an official invitation, I will of course go to Moscow."
