The Verkhovna Rada permitted the Cabinet of Ministers to reorganize the National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine, having banned, at the same time, privatization of the NJSC and companies, which will be set up as a result of its reorganization.

242 people's deputies voted for this decision, UKRINFORM reports.

The author of this draft law is deputy from the faction Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense Yuriy Karmazin.

The Verkhovna Rada made amendments to Article 7 of the law on the pipeline transport, having banned privatization of state enterprises and daughter enterprises of Naftogaz, carrying out activities on transportation by main or distribution pipelines, storage at underground storage facilities, as well as the NJSC itself. The Verkhovna Rada determined that reorganization of those enterprises will be carried out on the Cabinet's decision. The Parliament also introduced a ban for institution of cases on bankruptcy of state enterprises, carrying out activities on transportation by main and/or distribution pipelines, on storage at underground storage facilities, as well as directly as regards the NJSC, daughter companies and companies founded by it.

To remind, in September 2011, the Cabinet set up an interdepartmental working group on development of the project for reformation of Naftogaz and appointed Andriy Kliuyev as its chairman, the then First Vice Prime Minister and Economic Development and Trade Minister.

Reformation is held due to Ukraine's Energy Community accession and the need for adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to EU legislation in the energy sphere.

At the same time, the BYuT-Batkivshchyna unblocked the rostrum, the Parliament continues its work.
