The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted amendments to the state budget, submitted by the government regarding the realization of President's social initiatives with 271 votes in favour out of total 400. Only BYuT faction did not participate in the voting.
According to the amendments, budget revenues have been increased by UAH 453.76 million, which are supposed to come from newly introduced import duties.
The additional budget means will be sent to local budgets - 295.9 million, to national security and defense department - 30 million, to national theatres - 30 million, for development of higher educational institutions - 30.7 million and for formations of judiciary establishment - 15 million.
