Every infrastructure object built in the framework of Ukraine’s
preparation for EURO 2012 will work for the development of our country,
President Viktor Yanukovych said at a meeting dedicated to Ukraine
preparing to bid for the 2022 Winter Olympics, ForUm learned from the
presidential press office.
Viktor Yanukovych congratulated those present on the opening of a new modern 2,100 passengers per hour capacity terminal at the Lviv Danylo Halytsky International Airport today. The President reminded that one of the UEFA requirements was raising the capacity of Ukrainian airports to 4,500 passengers per hour. "We raised the capacity. Of course, this opens new opportunities for the entire transport infrastructure, tourism, and business," Viktor Yanukovych said, adding that when all the Ukrainian airports start working at their full capacity, they will be able to serve 7,000 passengers per hour.
