"Signing of this contract is a result of open policy. The Ministry, government and whole society have been waiting for it for so long. We wanted the best company and we've got it," Emergency Minister Viktor Baloha said during the signing ceremony.
Hewlett Packard made 90% of works on installation of '911' emergency call system in the US.
According to Baloha, '112' emergency call system is not just a combination of the existing emergencies services, but a new technological approach to provide assistance and security.
The system will work 24/7 and all calls will be free of charge. The system will also be able to process sms and massages through Internet.
