Yulia Tymoshenko’s position regarding her medical treatment has not changed, lawyer Serhiy Vlasenko has said, Tymoshenko's official website reports.
“First of all, the treatment should follow the protocol established by the German physicians who said that Yulia Tymoshenko requires immediate comprehensive treatment in a specialized hospital outside the penitentiary service. Since the Ukrzaliznytsia hospital isn’t a specialized facility, we asked the German physicians to determine whether this hospital can carry out all their recommendations. A final decision will be made by Yulia Tymoshenko after the international doctors present their findings,” Serhiy Vlasenko said.
Secondly, Vlasenko said Tymoshenko insists on being treated by independent doctors, as "she does not have trust in Ukrainian officials in white robes."
