MPs to listen to report by State penitentiary Service

Conciliatory board and committees of the parliament have decided to listen to a report by the leadership of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine about the situation in detention facilities, speaker Volodymyr Lytyvn said, ForUm correspondent reports.

"I believe we must consider this problem. It's not even a problem, but a matter of people's life. There are more than 30 thousand people in detention facilities, who stay there for years. This problem is an imputation on Ukraine. We have agreed to discuss the situation on Friday with the government and directly with the leadership of the State penitentiary Service," Lytvyn said.
