Unemployment compensation in Ukraine must be replaced with free of charge occupational retraining, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during the consultations with public organizations and experts in the sphere of population employment.
According to the official, within the new policy of employment "citizens should be given not unemployment compensation, but a free studying of a new profession."
"Employers of Ukraine must be encouraged to create new job places and to pay legal salaries. Working in open should become more advantageous than working in a shadow," he added.
Earlier vice PM Serhiy Tihipko declared that the Cabinet was planning to change the system of unemployment compensation.
