Vice Prime Minister and Health Minister Rayisa Bohatyriova says about the need to hold a wide propaganda campaign for popularization of immunization and vaccination of population.
“My task today is to carry out a wide propaganda. We will work both with citizens and medical workers,” Bohatyriova told a briefing before a meeting of the Health Ministry extended board, UKRINFORM reports.
According to the Minister, for now, coverage of population with immunization is ranging within 60-70 percent, depending on a disease to be prevented, which testifies to distrust to immunization.
At the same time, Bohatyriova stressed the need for creation of a mechanism for protection of medical workers, acting according to instructions, in case of the emergence of contretemps. “We would like to protect a medical worker, who will work for immunization, in order that a medical worker does not feel not only the pressure, but felt protected in case that complications have emerged despite the fact that everything was done according to standards, correctly,” the Minister noted.
