President: Russia ready to cooperate with Ukraine in all areas

Russian Federation leadership confirms its readiness to cooperate with Ukraine in all directions, President Viktor Yanukovych told Ukrainian journalists in Seoul. "President Medvedev has confirmed that the work has started and there is political will," said Viktor Yanukovych, presidential press office reports.

According to President Yanukovych, a meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Russian Commission is scheduled for late-May. "We will try to solve the remaining issues in this short period of time," he said.

When asked about the prospects of establishing a gas transportation consortium, Viktor Yanukovych said that Ukraine is now waiting for the gas transportation system value assessment. "When we have it, we will talk about it,” the President said.
