In mid April the spring flood from Belarus will reach the territory of Ukraine, chief of the civil protection department of the Emergency Control Ministry Vasyl Kvashuk told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"In the nearest future we expect banked up water level in Desna and Dnepr rivers and floods on the left bank area of Ukraine due to forecast precipitations in Belarus on March 29-30," Kvashuk informed.
In his turn, head of the weather forecast department of the Emergency Control Ministry of Ukraine Mykola Kulbida declared that floods may come to Lviv, Volyn and Rivne regions, and the banked up water level is expected on the territory of Luhansk region.
