President Viktor Yanukovych has congratulated Security Service of Ukraine personnel on the 20th anniversary of the Service, presidential press office reported.
"For all this time security servicemen have been a reliable shield of the Motherland. Your high professional level and dedication have earned you well-deserved reputation and respect," he said at today’s meeting to celebrate the event.
"Modernization of the country is the core of our policies. This strategy was carefully planned for years to come," said Viktor Yanukovych, adding that the reforms in the state will not omit the Security Service. "The Security Service must absorb all the positive experience of similar bodies of the European Union," he said.
The President expressed confidence that the professionalism, patriotism, and responsibility of Security Service personnel will continue being a guarantee of Ukraine’s safety.
On the occasion, the President also presented national decorations.
