NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine will choose an appraiser of Ukraine's gas transportation system on Monday, March 26, UKRINFORM reported.
"The disclosure of final bids for the purchase of GTS valuation services will take place in the Naftogaz premises on March 26, 2012," the company said.
Disclosure of the bids will be held with the participation of Naftogaz deputy board chairman, Vadym Chuprun.
As reported, four companies filed their bids to participate in the competition for the selection of an appraiser of the Ukrainian gas transportation system, including PE Thomas & Simonova (Kyiv, Ukraine), Tuds & Pelts (New York, USA), Baker Tilly Ukraine (Kyiv, Ukraine) and Ernst & Young (Kyiv, Ukraine).
In January 2012, on behalf of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, Naftogaz of Ukraine started the bidding procedure to select a company that will carry out the valuation of the Ukrainian GTS. The assessment should speed up and simplify the process of creating a tripartite consortium to manage the Ukrainian GTS.
The Ukrainian gas transportation system was evaluated twice. In 2007, the consulting company Image called the price of $24 billion. In 2009, the consulting company Uvekon considered that the value of Ukraine's gas transportation system does not exceed $10 billion.
