Local authorities should dedicate increased attention to solving the problem of helping children with pathologies and cerebral palsy, President Viktor Yanukovych said during a meeting with the administrative and economic leadership of Zaporizhzhya region, ForUm learned from the presidential press office.
According to the President, more than 60 million hryvnyas are to be allocated this year for the government program of rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy.
"It is necessary to create the conditions for children with disabilities to feel that they are fully-fledged members of Ukrainian society," he said.
According to the President, it is also necessary also improve the quality and accessibility of medical care, especially for women and children. "In the framework of the New Life national project the region must establish a perinatal center to ensure safe motherhood to women," he said.
