A number of prosecution and police officials of Mykolayv region were dismissed for violations in the course of investigation of the crime against 19 year old Oksana Makar, press office of the Prosecutor's General Office informed journalists.
According to the Prosecutor General Pshonka, a number of violations were registered in the course of the investigation of rape and attempted murder of Oksana Makar. "Helplessness of investigative bodies and the prosecution department of Mykolay region at the first stage of investigation overtopped the fact of crime solving. You can see with the naked eye that officials of both departments lacked professionalism, which caused negative reaction of the society," he said.
According to the press office, nine heads of Interior Ministry departments in Mykoayv region and a number of Mykolayv prosecution officials, were brought to account and dismissed. Prosecutor of Mykolay city and his deputy were given an admonition.
