It is planned to install 215 video cameras in the center of Kyiv, around Olimpiiski stadium and official fan-zones to maintain public order, Interior Ministry informed information center "Ukraine-2012".
"It is planned to install 215 video cameras near the official fan zone (Maidan and Kreshchatyk), Olimpiiski stadium, official Euor-2012 objects," the statement says.
According to the data of Interior Ministry department, current video surveillance system covers 37 places of mass gathering and separate parts of roads in Kyiv with 53 operating video cameras.
The department also informed that the video surveillance system will work in central areas of all host-cities for Euro-2012, including official fan zones and nearby territories.
