From today it is possible to forcibly hospitalize people, ill with open form of tuberculosis. The corresponding draft bill has been passed in its second reading and as a whole with 256 votes in favour, ForUm correspondent reports.
After the law comes into force, representatives of antituberculous institutions may apply to court to get permission for forced hospitalization of patients with open form of tuberculosis. In case of non-observance of court's decision, offenders will be brought to criminal responsibility.
