Ukraine and Russia should find a solution to the issue of gas mutually acceptable to both parties, President Viktor Yanukovych said in an interview with Russia-24 TV Channel, ForUm learned from the presidential press office.
Currently, he said, the question of gas price remains the only unresolved issue in the traditionally friendly relations between Ukraine and Russia.
"I believe that we have enough political will and wisdom to resolve the issue. We have no other choice – neither Ukraine, nor Russia. We cannot pay such an unjustified price for gas. This is wrong and unfair," Viktor Yanukovych said.
The President also noted that over the last two years, Ukraine and Russia have been able to eliminate the barriers that existed in their trade relations, and to make a step forward in the issues of inter-regional cooperation.
