National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine is charged with providing security and maintaining order during matches of Euro-2012 championship, NSDC secretary Andriy Kluyev told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
The official informed that according to the President's decree, from now on the security and public order during preparation and holding of Euro-2012 will be coordinated by the NSDC secretary. "As NSDC secretary I am responsible for all security questions regarding Euro-2012," Kluyev specified.
The official also informed that the next week the President will issue a number of decrees, which will extend the authority of the National Security and Defense Council.
